Young Writers and Illustrators

The conference will be hosted by a local school and will take place on an evening TBD from 6-8:30pm. Children participating will share published work with others and interact with guest authors.  Parents are required to attend with their children, and are invited to attend presentations given by guest speakers on a variety of topics based on parent interests.

New this year for Parmalee is the Young Writers & Illustrators Workshop, where students will have the opportunity to develop their storytelling abilities in a fun, supportive environment facilitated by a parent volunteer. The workshop will meet regularly throughout the year, with specific dates and times based on participant and volunteer availability. Questions about the workshop and volunteer opportunities can be directed to Angela Nivala (amnivala@gmail.com).
