Parmalee first graders recently wrapped up their annual food drive benefiting Evergreen Christian Outreach. This event is the largest donation event for EChO, which helps community members move from crisis situations to sustainability by providing food, resources, job training, counseling, and education assistance. The Parmalee community donated 3,726 items this year. First graders counted donated items, shelved and organized donations, stacked firewood, and made cards that were sent out in EChO's Thanksgiving baskets. We are grateful for the first graders' efforts, and for the generosity of the Parmalee community.
