Healthy Schools
Health and Wellness
Parmalee is a part of Jeffco Healthy Schools. Parmalee has many amazing opportunities to increase the health and wellness of the staff, which include movement challenges, yoga, weekly hikes, healthy cooking and many more.
Parmalee is also starting a student-led Health and Wellness Leadership committee. Through this committee, students will be promoting different health initiatives for students such as a Halloween Candy drive for kids to bring their Halloween candy, Planksgiving, Rainbow Food Week, Screenfree Week, etc. Students are excited to help make a positive impact on the health of their peers.

Healthy Schools in Jeffco
Jeffco Public Schools' mission is to support school culture, policy and environments that promote healthy lifestyle choices, life skills and attitudes that benefit students, families and staff.
A Healthy School is focused on advancing the physical, social-emotional and mental health of students and staff in schools and upholding the District Wellness Policy. Each Healthy School identifies liaisons to set and monitor health and wellness goals for their school. They participate in Healthy Schools programming and are eligible for Healthy Schools funding to support their goals.
