Volunteer Back Ground Checks:

  • All volunteers need to complete a Person of Interest Form prior to volunteering. This form provides the office with the needed information to perform a background check. Please send the completed form into the Parmalee office. (This has your social security number on it so please don't send it electronically). 
  • Once we have your Person of Interest Form, we will run a background check on you. The base price begins at $17.50 which we will initially charge, but if extra inquiries are required for an individual the cost could go up to $33.00. If that is the case, we will contact you for additional payment. We can take payments by check or Visa/MC. Make checks payable to Parmalee Elementary. 
  • Short on funds? We still want you to volunteer! Please write a note on your person of interest form that you need a scholarship for the fee and our financial secretary will ask for reimbursement from our PTA. 
  • Please allow one week for background check to be processed. You will only be notified if the background check does not clear.
  • Your background check will be good for three years. Jefferson County Public Schools will not accept background checks from other sources/organizations.
